The Vortex Viper HD 3-15×44 SFP Riflescope with VMR-3 MOA reticle designed for hunting in a variety of situations, with a special emphasis on long-distance shooting. This scope uses a 44mm objective lens for sharp and crisp views, and a 30mm one-piece tube machined from a solid piece of aircraft-grade aluminum with a low-glare matte black finish for increased durability.

The windage turret on this scope is capped to help avoid snags and prevent unintended adjustments, and the elevation turret is an exposed locking turret to provide a quick and secure way to make adjustments. The elevation turret features the RevStop Zero System that makes it simple to set a zero and have a solid zero stop, and the windage turret has a resettable zero.

The Vortex Viper HD 3-15×44 is O-ring sealed and argon purged for better fogproofing results than lesser purging materials, and it is shockproof for improved durability. The windage turret has an adjustment range of 92 MOA and the elevation turret has an adjustment range of 102 MOA, both with 25 MOA per turret revolution and 1/4 MOA adjustment increments.

The VMR-3 is an MOA SFP (second focal plane) reticle that provides improved accuracy at longer distances in addition to ranging capabilities. It has a fine center dot and fine center crosshairs for accuracy, as well as windage and holdover hashmarks to correct for wind drift and ammo drop, and the center dot can be illuminated using 10 levels of brightness for improved visibility.
