The Ruger Vaquero was designed to meet the needs of the cowboy mounted shooter. Constructed of blued steel and built on the Ruger New Vaquero frame. The Vaquero Birds Head is chambered in 45 ACP and has a shorter 3 3/4″ barrel that reduces size and weight plus improves holstering at a full gallop. The Ruger Vaquero Birds Head retains the New Vaquero features of patented reverse-indexing pawl for ease of loading and unloading, transfer bar ignition and loading gate interlock, Ruger reliability. The Ruger Vaquero Birds Head comes with black laminate gun fighter grips, a case, lock and instruction manual. Actual revolver weight is 2.44 lbs.
