The propellants used in the Hornady Precision Hunter ammunition line are clean burning and are loaded to a consistent capacity to ensure regularity. This ammunition utilizes the ELD-X, or Extreme Low Drag eXpanding projectile. These bullets are the perfect combination of match grade accuracy and terminal ballistics. Each bullet also features a heat shield tip which resists the effects of aerodynamic heating and retains its shape to maintain the best-in-class ballistic coefficient over its entire trajectory. Once it impacts the target, this projectile continually expands throughout its penetration path. The thick shank of the jacket and high InterLock ring keep the core and jacket together providing 50­60% weight retention.
